Sev (Oma Podi) is a tea time snack and used in most of the chat items.
- 2-3 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 2-3 tsp chili powder
- salt to taste
- Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead to a stiff dough. Keep it aside for 15 mins.
- Take noodle maker or sev presser and fill the dough in the upper section. Heat oil in a kadhai an keep it over medium flame. Press the dough over the oil directly in a circular motion. Fry till it turns pale yellow and little crispy.
- Remove from the fire and keep it over tissue paper to drain out the oil completely. Once done with the remaining dough, keep the sev inside air-tight container.
