Capsicum flavored with cumin powder gives awesome taste and smells fantastic.
- 1 green capsicum
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 cup chopped coconut
- 3 garlic flakes
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp chili powder (sambar powder)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- asofoetida – a pinch
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Grind coconut and garlic flakes to smooth paste adding little water. Heat oil in a kadhai and temper mustard seeds.
- Add chopped onions and saute a while. Add chopped tomatoes and mash them. Add chopped capsicum, coconut paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, asofoetida, cumin powder and salt to taste.
- Add 1/2 cup water and cook it covered for 10-15 mins. Serve hot with chapati or poori.
