Simple Muttaikose Poriyal Recipe, today we will see how to prepare simple cabbage green peas stir fry with step by step photos. This south indian style sabzi goes well with rasam rice or puli kuzhambu.
It is always better to use fresh green peas removed from the shell instead of using frozen or peas from the packet, vendors sell in small vegetable shops. You might be aware of the fact that some people mix green color with peas to make it look attractive. So always get fresh peas with shells from the market.
This is a very easy recipe which can be tried by even bachelors. It takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. Cabbage and fresh green peas are stir fried with onion, green chilies and turmeric powder. For additional taste, you can add grated coconut. Chop cabbage very finely either with knife or using a food processor. Apart from serving with rice, I like to stuff this poriyal inside roti and enjoy with onion raita. You can also add eggs and make burji / podimas.
