Tofu Butterscotch Kheer, learn how to prepare simple payasam recipe made from tofu, butterscotch, milkmaid and cardamom. This is not a vegan recipe as I have used milk and milkmaid. To make it vegan, replace milk with coconut milk and milkmaid by sugar.
I have shared more than 15 varieties of payasam which you can refer. To prepare this kheer, use either store bought tofu or homemade one. If you do not have butterscotch chips, then no problem, you can always skip this or use chocolate chips. This is a very simple and easy recipe which takes 15 minutes to prepare. Before using tofu, wash and crumble it. Crumbled tofu is cooked in milk for a while and then add milkmaid, cardamom, butterscotch and rose essence. If you do not like tofu, then you can replace it with paneer / cottage cheese. For crunchiness, you can try adding sabja seeds.
