Dried Amla Powder, today we will see how to prepare Nellikai / Amla Powder at home. Amla Powder can be used in idli/ dosa batter, Roti dough, chutney, omelette, Curries, drinks , baking and many more.
When dried amla doesn’t lose its nutritional value. Amla Powder is usually taken for diabetes. Daily morning on an empty stomach, add 1 tsp Amla Powder in 1 glass water and drink it. This is very healthy and can be taken by anyone.
I have used 1 kg Amla to prepare the powder. You would get only 100 gms powder because when grated and dried, Amla shrinkens and it’s size reduces. You would get only less amount of powder. Make the powder frequently and store in an airtight container. It took 2 days to sundry Amla at my place. The time may vary depending on the weather condition at different places.
