Boiled Egg Fry / Egg Tawa Fry, today I’m sharing an easy egg starter recipe with step by step photos. Hard Boiled Eggs are marinated with turmeric powder, sambar powder, salt and then shallow fried on tava or frying pan.
It takes hardly 10 minutes to fry these eggs. Marination takes 10 minutes. Here, I have cut the eggs into two halves. Another way is to just make slits around egg with a knife and marinate them. While frying egg, always cook on low flame and turn the eggs frequently or it will spill (thelikum). When making in large batch, increase the quantity of masala added.

Easy Egg Tawa Fry Recipe
- 3 boiled eggs - shell removed and cut into halves
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 2-3 tsp sambar powder
- salt to taste

How to make Boiled Egg Fry
- Combine turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Add water little by little and make thick paste. Marinate eggs with this paste and close it. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a tava or frying pan. Fry the eggs on very low flame. Turn them frequently or they will spill. Do not cook on high or medium flame. Fry till both the sides turn golden brown. Remove from the heat and serve.
