Matki Sprouts Salad / Simple Sprouts Salad, today we will see how to prepare an easy and healthy steamed matki sprouts salad at home. Moth beans / Thatta Payaru sprouts are used to prepare this simple salad.
We are basically not salad loving person, but once a while, I try to prepare salad. I do not use any dressing part. I like plain and simple salad. Matki sprouts can either be added raw, boiled or steamed. Boiling may sometimes lose its nutritional value, so I prefer either stir fried or steamed. Raw sprouts has never been our choice.
Add chopped cucumber, tomato along with sprouts. You can also add onion, carrot, beets, raw mango for more nutritional benefit. It will make the salad look more colorful too. You can also try this with mixed sprouts. You can add few tbsp of curd, mint chutney or sweet chutney for different combination of flavors.

Matki Sprouts Salad Recipe
- 2 cup matki sprouts / moth beans / thatta payiru sprouts
- 1 cucumber - chopped
- 1 tomato - chopped
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- salt to taste
- pepper powder - according to your need

How to make Simple Moth Beans salad at home
- Steam cook matki sprouts till done. Take a mixing bowl. Add chopped cucumber, tomato and steam cooked matki sprouts. Mix everything well. Sprinkle lemon juice and salt and pepper according to your need. Mix everything well and serve.
