Amchur, today we will see how to prepare dried raw mango powder at home. They are easy to prepare and can be stored for 6 months in a clean jar.
We don’t use it often other than adding it in North Indian style curries or tiki / cutlet. I have used two large raw mangoes and got only 50 gm amchur. For large quantity, increase the quantity of raw mango.
You can either grate or chop raw mango. Grating is a huge and tiresome task so I would prefer chopping. Just chop the mangoes and sundry them for 3-4 days. Grated mangoes will be more easier to grind than chopped ones. There shouldn’t be any moisture content after drying.
